Frank James Tapley

LIVERMORE FALLS – Frank James Tapley, 92, of Livermore Falls, passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at Sandy River Center in Farmington with his family at his side, following a brief illness.

He was born on Oct. 7, 1932, in Freeport, the son of Grant Osman Tapley and Helen (Prescott) Tapley. He graduated from Winthrop High School in 1952.

He married the love of his life Sharon Ann Perkins on Sept. 4, 1971. They enjoyed 47 years together before her passing on Nov. 24, 2018. Frank was a journeyman electrician and retired from G.H. Bass after 20 years of service. He attended Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Wilton with his wife. He enjoyed hunting, watching his westerns on TV, motorcycle trips with his wife, loving his grandkids and most importantly his Lord and Savior.

He is survived by his children, Michelle Walker (Bryan) of Jay, Margaret Plummer (Fon) of South Gardiner, a son, Steven Tapley (Marcia) of New Hampshire; and many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife; and sister, Edith Alexander.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21 at Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the funeral service. Interment in the spring at Pleasant View Cemetery, 51 Fayette Rd., Livermore Falls.
