We have a moment now to slow down, unplug and feel what’s going on.
There is also a bet that we won’t do this — that we will give up our big opportunity.
So I’d like to ask readers these questions:
- What’s most important to you?
- What do you love?
- What does your perfect community look like?
After we take a moment to make our own personal vision, we could each ask ourselves:
- What’s the relationship of government, the Constitution, voting rights and peace to our vision?
- Do others share our vision?
There is a bet that we don’t do this exercise.
There is a bet that the blur of TV and social media will keep us occupied.
There is a bet that we won’t really exercise our personal power.
There is a bet we think our ability to act is guaranteed forever.
We have a moment now and I encourage everyone to take their moment, against the bet that we won’t.
