Daniel R. Mercier

AUBURN – Daniel R. Mercier, 77, of Livermore Falls, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, at Andwell Hospice House in Auburn, surrounded by his family. He was born on Sept. 11, 1947, in Livermore Falls, the son of Roland A. and Loretta J. (Robinson) Mercier. He was a 1966 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. Danny worked for the International Paper Company in Jay, as a journeyman pipefitter, as a welder for Daniels Construction and later was owner/operator of Daniel Mercier Welding. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a former member of the Jay-Livermore Falls Hunting Club. He is survived by his sons, Mark Mercier and wife Kelly of Livermore, Travis Mercier and wife Kaela of Gorham, daughters, Tracy Milstead and husband Russell of Kingsland, Ga., and Amy Zelanick and husband Trent of Eureka, Calif., his brother, William Mercier and wife Denise of Rangeley, sister, Janice Lane of Leeds, partner Marietta Clark of Livermore Falls, who cared for him throughout his illness; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
