James Arsenault
CANTON – James Arsenault, 94, passed away Wednesday Feb. 26, 2025, at the Pinnacle Health and Rehab Center in Canton. He was formerly a resident of Dixfield.
James was born on Dec. 20, 1930, the son of James and Irene (Legere) Arsenault. He was a graduate of Mexico High School and worked as a lab technician for Boise Cascade. He was a member of the Peru Baptist Church; he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
James was married in Rumford on Feb. 22, 1966, to Judith Arsenault who passed away on Feb. 11, 2024.
Survivors include his daughter, Christina Bouchard and husband Bryan of Dixfield, a son, Michael Arsenault of Auburn; grandchildren, Cathryn Bouchard, Jesse Bouchard, Karen Douglas, Christopher England and wife Ly, Scott Forbes; and sister, Jeannette Orino.
He was predeceased by daughter, Sherry England, sons Jeff and David Arsenault; granddaughter, Kristen Forbes, grandchildren Orion and Aurora England; sister, Dorothy Puiia Swan and brothers Ernest and Norman Arsenault.

The family shows appreciation to the loving staff at Pinancle who loved Jim and adopted him as their own “Puppa”. Thank you also to the staff at Andwell Home Health Care and Hospice for their help.
Funeral services will be held at the Peru Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday March 8. A graveside service will take place at the Rumford Center Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are under the direction of Meader and Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
