I am astounded, horrified and furious at the piece on Rep. Laurel Libby and the vilifying of trans women and girls in the Feb. 28 paper.

Not only is it incendiary and unfair, but it is also weak, lazy journalism. Interviewing three people at a pizza place and country store is ridiculously biased.

I worry every day about the safety and wellbeing of all trans people, and a piece like this adds to their vulnerability and pain. Was there an attempt to interview those of us who know and love trans people? Or those who see Libby for what she is, a craven power-hungry opportunist?

And on the front page in bold type, no less. Shame on the writer of this biased article and shame on the Sun Journal.
