Donald M. “Don” Dube
LEWISTON – Donald M. “Don” Dube, 89, of Lewiston, Maine, passed away peacefully on Feb. 28, 2025. Born on March 7, 1935, in Biddeford, Maine, Don lived a full and vibrant life marked by hard work, adventure, and a love for family and the great outdoors.
Don dedicated nearly 25 years of his career to B&M Baked Beans, where he was known for his strong work ethic and camaraderie. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to pursue various ventures, including running a hot dog stand in Lewiston for several years.
An avid outdoorsman, Don found joy in hunting and fishing, always eager for the next adventure in Maine’s woods and waters. He was also a skilled ping-pong player, always ready for a friendly match.
Don and his late wife, Lorraine Gauthier Dube, shared a love for dancing, often competing in jitterbug contests where they dazzled with their energy and rhythm. Their love and laughter filled every room they entered.
He was preceded in death by Lorraine and his eldest son, David A. Dube. He is survived by his son, Timothy A. Dube, who carries on his legacy of determination and warmth.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 9, at 1 p.m. at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 217 Switzerland Road, Lewiston. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well lived.
Don will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and passion for life. His stories, laughter, and love will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
