Are Sen. Susan Collins and the other Republicans going to sit on their hands and let President Trump destroy the positive relationship that this country has with the rest of the free world?
He has pulled back from Ukraine, and withdrawn support. He blames an argument that he set up intentionally so that he could cut ties with Ukraine and take the side of Vladimir Putin and Russia.
Trump believes he is a buddy of Putin. Which is just exactly what Putin wants. He is willing to give away the goodwill that America has built up over many years with our European allies so that he can be on Putin’s good side.
Susan Collins and Republicans must immediately grow a backbone and stop this full-tilt attack against all that America stands for.
Trump is not king. He has been elected president by a bare majority. That means he represents us all in the carrying out of the duties of his office. Not representing the far right MAGAs only. Not dictating what policies Americans will implement.
Will our senators and representatives wait until it’s too late to change? Will we be living under a dictatorship? I don’t think we Americans want that.
