Normand R. LeClair

FALMOUTH – Normand R. LeClair, 78, a resident of Jay, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Sedgewood Commons in Falmouth.

He was born March 13, 1947, in Chisholm, the son of Roland LeClair and Carmen (Berube) LeClair. He received his diploma from Jay High School. He married Cathy Bryant on Dec. 12, 1974, at St. Rose Church in Jay. Normand worked for International Paper Company at the Otis and Androscoggin Mills in Jay. He retired in 2007. He was a member of the International Paper Company Quarter Century Club.

He enjoyed coaching the boys and girls travel team for Area Youth Sports (AYS) basketball, volunteering his time at Augusta Greyhound Shelter, and his golf trips to Cape Cod.

He is survived by his children, Shawnna LaChance and husband Jonethan of Yarmouth, Matthew LeClair and wife Tiera of Arizona, T.J. LeClair and wife Michelle of Farmington; his sister, Pauline Roy and husband Robert of Jay; and five grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents; son, Tony in 1991; his wife Cathy; sister, Bernice Smith, brothers-in-law, Terry Hogan and David Smith.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, March 20, Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls. A graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery, 445 Park St., Livermore Falls will be announced at a later date.
