Edward Miller Jr.

MILO – Edward Miller Jr., 78, of Milo, passed away on Sunday; Feb. 23, 2025, at Northern Lights Medical Hospital in Bangor.

He was born on July 28, 1946, to Alice and Edward Miller Sr. in Rumford.

Edward graduated from high school and married his wife, Bonita, “Bonnie”, on June 15, 1968, and they had one child, Keith Miller. He then went on to join the Air Force as an airplane mechanic, where he served for four years in both the states and overseas. He then re-joined the military through the Army National Guard. He was proud of his time in the service and received an honorable discharge before continuing on in civilian life.

He was a funny and caring man, who simply loved living his life. He was a joy to others around him and could always make them laugh and smile. He had a heart for animals, and was always happy to be around them. He was beloved by his family and his community, lovingly known as “G-Pa” around town.

Edward is survived by his brother, James Miller; son, Keith Miller and his wife Bethany and their sons, granddaughter Destiny Bessey and her husband Joshua, and “bonus granddaughters” Amber Dennison and Izabel Wales.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Alice Miller; and his wife, Bonita Miller.

Funeral services with military honors will be held on April 22, at 2 p.m., at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Rd. in Augusta. Army Chaplain Dow will lead services.
