Shaw Boomhower broke a tie early in the third period and Kaleb Ergang scored twice as the Adirondack Thunder earned a 5-2 win over the Maine Mariners in an ECHL game Friday night in Glens Falls, New York.
Brooklyn Kalmikov and Jackson Edward scored for the Mariners, both assisted by Xander Lamppa. Edward’s goal was his first since the rookie defenseman was assigned to Maine from Providence of the American Hockey League on March 31.
Ergang and Ian Pierce padded Adirondack’s lead with empty-net goals in the final two minutes.
