Howard V. Chapman
BETHEL – Howard V. Chapman passed away after a battle with illness on April 27, 2025, at home with his family by his side. He was 75 years old.
Born in Rumford on July 5, 1949, to Frank and Ida Chapman, he was the third of seven siblings. Betsy Alan,Tony Samuel Kathryn and Mary and also had a half brother Franklin.
Howard married Macky Cummings Chapman in September of 1968 and stayed by each others side until his passing. They had two children, Vincent who was tragically lost in a car accident in 1985 and Nicholas Chapman Married to Tasha Cummings and their four children, Keaton, Emma, Vincent and Eric with whom Howard loved spending time with.
He was a lifelong logger and was in partnership with Roger Wheeler to form Chapman and Wheeler logging in 1971. For over 54 years they were the largest contractor employed at Brown Company at one time. He was predeceased by his son Vincent; parents, Frank and Ida and brother Sammy.
