Armande “Norma” Kelly

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Armande “Norma” Kelly, 89, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Norma was born on June 5, 1935, in Lewiston. She was the daughter of Charles Poulin and Marie Anna (Cloutier) Poulin and the youngest of 16 siblings. She was known for her warmth and undeniably loving spirit she brought into the world. A lifelong Parishioner of Holy Family Parish, she was a devoted Catholic who also served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Norma was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Frank J. Kelly, former Lewiston City Councilor, businessman, and police officer.

Norma will be remembered by her beloved children, Michael Kelly of Auburn, his fiancée Sandy Sirois, and his children, Krystle, Kaitlyn, Kimberly and Brenden; Norman Kelly of Fleming Island, Fla. and his wife Kyong and Norman’s children, Allison Fox and Ryan Kelly; Ella Roux and her husband Michael Roux of South Pasadena, Fla. and Ella’s daughter, Erica Federico; Kevin Kelly of Manchester, N.H. and his wife Andrea, and their children, Jayne, Erin and Sean; Barry Kelly of Lewiston and his wife Kim and their son Nicholas; lastly, Norma’s twin brother, Normand Poulin of Lewiston; and numerous great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Norma’s most cherished accomplishment was raising her five children, whom she held as her pride and joy. She worked in several Lewiston Mills and retired from Knapp Shoe in 1992. Norma loved gardening and cooking for her family and always arrived at a family outing with her famous Pasta Salad. She was an avid Bingo and card player in her early years and up until recently enjoyed outings to nearby casinos playing slot machines.

A Catholic Mass for Norma will take place 11 a.m. on June 12, at Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish, 607 Sabattus St., Lewiston, followed by her burial at St Peters Cemetery in Lewiston. Those wishing to pay their respects and celebrate her life are welcome.
