Phyllis J. Sterling
LEWISTON – Phyllis J. Sterling, 86, of Main Street, Lisbon Falls, went to be with our Lord Monday, May, 5, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Phyllis was born on Nov. 15, 1938. On June 29, 1957, in Westbrook, she married the love of her life, Ray F. Sterling, and they spent 51 beautiful years loving each other before he left to be with the Lord. They were blessed with, two children, three grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
Phyllis devoted her life to her family, and friends. She was known for her kind words, her gentle touch and would listen without judgment, shared advice you could rely on, and teaching life lessons to her children as they grew up. She was the perfect example of what a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend should be. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family. She and Ray loved to entertain friends and family.
She loved to cook, crochet, sew, garden, and in her spare time she enjoyed her morning newspaper.
She leaves behind her loving children, Jason Sterling of Auburn, Karen Fisher and her husband Donald of Sabattus; her grandchildren, Derek Michael Caron, Madeleine Mae Siegler-Sterling, and Spencer Ray Ferland; great grandson, Leo; and several nieces and nephews.
A private burial will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
