WEST PARIS — Hardworking volunteers from the Mollocket Service Unit, Clarissa Cote and Donna Kennison, both of West Paris, recently received the Appreciation Pin from the Girl Scouts of Maine (GSME). The Appreciation Pin is an award bestowed upon a volunteer or staff member who provides exemplary service in support of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) that has had a measurable impact on two or more troops in one or more geographic areas.
Cote stepped into the Mollocket Service Unit product program supervisor role with enthusiasm and dedication. She listens intently to make informed adjustments that meet both community and trio needs, working across two troops and multiple committees to implement improvements and provide outstanding service.
Donna is renowned for telling impactful stories through her Mollocket Service Unit. Her organizational flair shines whether she’s co-leading a troop, planning parades, organizing cookie rallies, or crafting event mementos. Her kind leadership inspires everyone around her to see possibilities beyond the ordinary.
Clarissa’s and Donna’s volunteerism is certainly a gift to Girl Scouts within the Mollocket Service Unit, and their passion for the program is shown throughout everything they do. They are passionate and dedicated to creating amazing experiences for girls, highlighting their invaluable contributions to Girl Scouts.
“Our Girl Scout adults just go above and beyond. There are no people more generous with their time, talent, and investment to make the world a better place,” said GSME Director of Adult Learning, Dawn Walker-Elders.
Cote’s and Kennison’s awards were honored alongside other adult recognitions at this year’s Annual Celebration on May 3, in Fairfield. To learn more about the Appreciation Pin, visit the GSME website.
