Irene G. Frechette
LEWISTON – Irene G. Frechette passed away March 4, 2024 unexpectedly at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
Irene was born Oct. 28, 1941, to Roland and Gladys (McClure) Frechette. She was educated in Lewiston and was a graduate of a school of design in Chicago, Ill.
She was a very talented seamstress and had her own business when living in Poland. Irene worked many years at Marshwood Nursing Home and retired from there.
Irene was active in her Church and was a member of the French speakers group called Parley-vois at the Franco Center. She had also taken art classes.
Irene was survived by her brother, Lionel “Nel” Frechette, his children Paul and Betty and their children Ian, Kim and Kaitlyn. She was also survived by her two closest friends Anita and Elise.
She was predeceased by her parents Roland and Gladys; her two sisters-in-law, Sally and Pauline; and her nephew, Steve.
On Sept. 13, 2024, her brother Nel passed away unexpectedly in Tampa, Fla.
Irene’s celebration of life will be at the Grace Lutheran Church 757 Summer St. in Auburn on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11 a.m.
