Judith F. Small

AUBURN – Judith F. Small of Hebron, we said goodbye to our beloved mother on the morning of May 24, 2025. She passed onto her next journey and will be missed as she was the matriarch of our family. We thank her for all of the guidance and unconditional love she gave to us. Never too busy for a conversation and a laugh, she was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. We will miss everything about her.

She was born on August 20, 1932, in Hebron, a daughter of the late Delmar and Alice (Johnson) Foss. She attended the local school system and went on to obtain an associates degree. Judy worked as a legal secretary for many years until her retirement from the State of Maine.

Her interests included gardening, music and dancing, shopping, and of course long drives that inevitably ended with ice cream. Judy had a fondness for all animals throughout her life. Her favorites were her chickens and her little dog Coco.

She was predeceased by her loving parents, Delmar and Alice Foss; her brothers Russell and Delmar Jr., her sisters Silvia Benson, Shirley Bonney, Dorothy Everett, Helen Hallowell and Patricia Paine.

Leaving behind to cherish her memory are her loving children Krista Daniels and her husband Dan of Sumner, Kim Small of Hebron, and Timothy Small of Hebron. She also leaves behind her faithful companion Charles Olson and special friend Judy Haggerty; three granddaughters, Heather and Frank Poussard of South Carolina, Janice and James Taylor of South Paris and Kylie and Luke Guy of West Paris; and several great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a visitation on Saturday June 14, 2025, from 1-3 p.m. at the Oxford Hills Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 1037 Main Street, Oxford Maine. A funeral service led by Reverend Don Mayberry follows at 3:30 p.m.

Online condolences can be made through Judy’s obituary page on the funeral home website. For those who are unable to attend the service but would like to participate, there will be a live stream link available through Judy’s obituary page at the funeral home http://www.chandlerfunerals.com.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in Judith’s

memory to the:
