Jeanette M. Dixon
SOUTH PARIS – Jeanette Mable Dixon, 95, of South Paris, passed away June 5, 2025 at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway.
She was born in Boothbay Harbor, the daughter of the late Margaret Brandon McKay and Kenneth Blake. She graduated from Lincoln Academy in 1947, married Charles Gilliam and moved to Orr’s Island. She worked at a shoe factory in Brunswick for many years.
She married John Dixon May 1, 1976 and moved to South Paris. John passed away April 30, 2003. She was a member of the South Paris Methodist Church for many years.
She was predeceased by a brother, Bernard Blake and a sister, Natalie Lewis.
She is survived by two brothers, Gordon Blake of Kittery and John Blake of Edgecomb. She is survived by two children, Ronald Gilliam (Darlene) of Anthony, Fla. and Rebecca Gilliam of South Paris. She has four grandchildren, Brian Williams of Maine, Patricia Cramer (Donald) of Florida, Charles Gilliam of Florida and Troy Gilliam of Florida. She has six great-grandchildren, Hannah Williams, Brian Williams, Kaitlyn Cramer, Allison Cramer, Hunter Gilliam and Troy Gilliam; three great-great-grandchildren, T.J. Gilliam, Makala Williams and Savannah Gilliam.
There will be no services at this time. We will have a celebration of life later.
