Austin Lee Frost

AUBURN – Austin Lee Frost, 93, of Poland passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Clover Manor. He was born in Bar Harbor on July 19, 1931 the son of Almond and Margaret Cummings Frost.

He joined the U. S. Navy in 1950, then attended Bliss Business College. He worked for J. W. Penney Machine Shop for many years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #150, Tyrian Lodge #73 and the United Methodist Church.

In March of 1977, he married Blanche (Bunny) Jordan. They were married for 47 years.

After retiring he and his wife spent 26 years wintering in Florida. He enjoyed golf, horseshoes, playing cards and his outdoor work. He loved to spend time at his camp in Alexander, Maine.

He is survived by his wife; son Phillip (Ellen) Frost, daughter Melinda (John) Davis, son Gregory (Rose) Frost; stepchildren Cheryl (Butch) Downing and Barbara (Robert) Nichols; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren who he enjoyed very much.

He was predeceased by a sister Alma McPhail; stepdaughter Joline Plummer; step grandson Robbie Nichols; and sister-in-law Elizabeth Fournier.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery in Poland with Tyrian Lodge #73 performing a Masonic service and the U. S. Navy military honors.
