Richard “Rick” P. Bryant Sr.
PORTLAND – Richard “Rick” P. Bryant Sr. was surrounded by loved ones on June 21, 2025, when he suddenly went to heaven to be greeted with the biggest hug from his greatest joy and love, his daughter Shelly. He was born on Nov. 23, 1962, in Portland, the son of Frederick F. Bryant Sr. and Laurette A. (Pomerleau) Bryant. He was a graduate of Leavitt Area High School, class of 1981. Rick spent the majority of his life being a computer genius for Texas Instruments in Portland, Maine. Rick was a one-of-a-kind man who would give you the shirt off his back without you even asking. He was purely selfless in everything he did, and was kind, caring and truly chose others over himself every time. In his spare time, he loved visiting Florida, with his favorite spots being Disney and Sanibel Island. He is survived by a son, Richard Bryant, Jr. of Lisbon Falls, his daughter, Rikki Bryant of Randolph, his significant other, Vickie Stevens of South Portland, a sister, Catherine Bryant of Turner, two brothers, Fred Bryant Jr. and wife Candace of Alvin, Texas., Charles Bryant and wife Barbara of Evans, Colo., bonus children, Mark McBride and wife, Angel of Buxton, Matthew McBride of Leeds, Misty Castonguay and husband, Leif of Leeds, grandchildren, Tracker, Aubrey, Ridley, Reegan, Carter, Nevaeh and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his daughter, Michelle “Shelly” Bryant, two sisters, Freda Fuller and Patricia Weymouth. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 28 at 94 Buzzell Drive, Winthrop. Arrangements by the BRAGDON-FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 707 Main Street, Monmouth, ME 04254.
