Daniel G. Thibodeau
RUMFORD – Daniel G. Thibodeau, 82, of Rumford, died July 22, 2025 in Norway, Maine. AIso known as “Grumpy” to a!I the grandchildren”
He was born in Rumford on Jan. 19, 1943, the son of Gerard Joseph Thibodeau and May Vioiet Lucia Beaudet. He married Bonnie Bean on August 7, 1971, They have one son Daniel S. Thibodeau and his fianc6e Cathy Godwin of Woodstock; two grandchi!dren, Danie!le Emily Thibodeau and Carter Daniel Thibodeau.
The first couple of years he attended a one room schoolhouse in Frye, Maine and then finished his education in Chicopee, Mass. Daniel worked at Storms Drop Forging in Spingfield, Mass. and then when retuming back to Maine he worked at Andover Wood Products until he retired in 2005.
He always Ioved yellow labs, so after retirement he got his beloved Emma and Maggie. ln his younger years he enjoyed motorcycIes, fishing, pool and fourwheeling. He enjoyed camp on North Pond in Woodstock where he spent summers with his beloved wife and family.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie of Rumford, son Danie of Bryant Pond, his sister Sheila Kirby, a niece Crystal and nephew Jesse, all of Chicopee, Mass. He was predeceased by his parents and sisters GeraIdine and Lucia.
A celebration of life be held at camp North Pond on August 7 from l p.m. – 5 p.m. in Bryant Pond” Not only will it be celebrating his Iife but aIso their 54th wedding amiversay .
