Fernand Adelard “Bear” Jolin

PORTLAND – Fernand Adelard “Bear” Jolin, 78, of Auburn died July 24 at the Maine Medical Center.

He was born In Lewiston a son of Adelard and Adrienne Dupuis Jolin, and was a graduate of Lewiston High School.

Fernand was the owner of Paw Prints Advertising

He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Auburn. Bear was a member of the Knights of Columbus Councill 8742, Andy Valley Memorial assembly 2173, Webster Lodge Mason Charter and the Kora Temple. He was The Knights of Columbus Charter Honor Guard commander for 25 years.

Bear was an avid sports fan who enjoyed following the Boston Bruins, the New England Patriots and the New York Yankees.

He is survived by his wife Helene A. Belisle Jolin, his sister-in-law Janine M. Champagne and her husband Rene M.; nephews Robert R. Champagne and his wife Joanna of Hartford, Maine, Jay M. Champagne and his wife Eleanor Koh of Santa Maria, Calif., Mark Jolin and his wife Deanna of Leeds, Maine, niece Cindy Jayanetti and her husband Priyantha “PJ” of Branford, Conn.; grandnephew Jared R. Champagne of Hartford, Maine.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Laurent L. Jolin.

A visitation will be held on Sunday August 3 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway, Lewiston. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Monday August 4 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church, Sabattus St., Lewiston.
