An image in the Aug. 12 edition of the Sun Journal shows a happy group on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP). Looks like great fun, but, always remember: Safety first.
A personal flotation device (PFD) must be carried for each SUP passenger. Riders, ages 10 or under, must always wear a PFD. Riders should carry a whistle or other sound producing device for emergency alerts. And, riders should always carry a flashlight after dark.
