Radio Fest returns Sunday, Aug. 31, to support Rangeley’s community radio station, WRGY 90.5FM and spotlight the work of local talent. Station Manager Iris Ramirez, will emcee an exciting evening of performances featuring: Tom Ball and Pegg Knox, Jan Lathrop and John Geschwindner, Unknown Legend, Charlie Bruce, and The Shape Shifters. 

Located at the Rangeley Friends of the Arts Lakeside Theater 2493 Main St., the event includes 90 minutes of live music starting at 7 p.m., complimentary refreshments, cash bar, and WRGY merchandise available for purchase. Tickets for the show are $15 for adults and $10 for youth (18 and under) and can be purchased during box office hours at the RFA Lakeside Theater or online at wrgy.org/events

“Community Radio doesn’t just stop when it hits your car radio,” said Ramirez. “We get involved with the people who make up our community and we work to uplift them by being present with events like this”.

Over the last 3 years, WRGY has increased their involvement in the Rangeley region by hosting events and opening up their studio for members to create their own radio shows. 

WRGY 90.5FM is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational community radio station located in the heart of downtown Rangeley, Maine. With its transmitter upon Saddleback Mountain, WRGY has been reaching the airways of the Rangeley Region since 2010. The station is currently home to 7 locally produced music shows, national productions, and eclectic music playlists.
