NORWAY – Everett B. Parlin, 79, of Norway passed away Aug. 21, 2025 at The Woodlands in Bridgton with his loving family by his bedside. Everett was born on Aug. 8, 1946, the son of the late Dorothy (Campbell) Keene, and grew up in Monmouth. He gave his all to everything he did whether at work, weekends, or the love he had for his family. Everett attended Monmouth Academy and later worked as a salesman at Western Auto in Norway and as the service manager at Bessey Motor Sales in South Paris before retiring. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping and fishing, and even raced cars and drove for an ambulance service. He enjoyed tinkering on anything and fixing sewing machines as a hobby during nights and weekends. In 2010, while working at Bessey Motor Sales, Everett was honored with the Employee of the Year award by the Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce, a testament to his hard work and character. Everett was also a proud member of the Norway Grange. Most of all, he loved his wife, daughters and grandchildren. Everett cherished time with his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy. He loved spending time in his basement woodshop, especially when his grandchildren joined him. Whether they were sanding, building, or just watching him work, those shared moments meant the world to him. His legacy lives on in the memories they created.He is survived by his daughter, Julie Keim and her husband George of Scarborough; grandchildren Jacob Keim and McKenzie (Keim) Krzeminski and her husband Jack; grandchildren Emily Wallace and Tyler Wallace and his wife Lindsey; and great-grandchildren Blake and Harper Wallace; his sister Betty Foster and her husband Bruce of South Paris; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Everett was predeceased by his wife, Iris; his daughter, Jayne; his mother, Dorothy; his brothers Gary Parlin, Ivan “Buddy” Parlin, and Frank Keene; and his sister, Patty Davis.A memorial visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at the Chandler Funeral Home, 45 Main St., South Paris.
