LIVERMORE – Betty J. (Judd) Coombs, 91, of Livermore, passed away Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025 at the Hospice House in Auburn.

She was born on Feb. 19, 1934, in Livermore Falls, to Nathalie (Wright) and Thomas Judd, Sr. She graduated from Livermore Falls High School in 1952 and began working at Bailey Furniture. She married Charlie Coombs on June 27, 1953, in Bath.

Betty always had a love of business, which led her to Livermore Falls Trust Company, where she worked her way up to Loan Operations Supervisor. She was co-owner of D.L. Punch, Jr. Construction in Livermore. In 1985, she and her son, Douglas, opened Construction Consultants, Inc., where Betty worked until her retirement in 2007.

Over the years, she spent time serving her community as a long-time chair of the Livermore Planning Board, Corporator for Franklin Savings Bank and fundraising for United Way. She participated in the Maine Department of Transportation DBE Program during her time at D.L. Punch, Jr. Construction and Construction Consultants, Inc.

Her favorite memories were spending time with family and friends throwing parties for Independence Day and Christmas. In her younger years, she enjoyed snowmobiling in the winter and attending the NASCAR races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. She loved spoiling every animal she met, whether it was sharing her snack or ensuring each pet’s favorite treat was available when they came to visit her. Over the last few years, she especially enjoyed her time spent with Francine Castonguay and her dog, Missie.
