Constance Cecile Pelletier

LEWISTON – Constance Cecile Pelletier, 81, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully at home with family and friends by her side Sunday Aug. 24, 2025.

“Connie” was born on Oct. 10, 1943, to the late Robert and Fernande (Roux) Chouinard of Lewiston. Connie graduated from St. Dominic’s in 1963 and continued her education at St. Mary’s School of Radiology and Technology as an X-ray technician in 1965. She married the love of her life Ronald Pelletier in June of 1966. Ronald predeceased Connie in January 2024.

Connie left her job at St. Mary’s X-ray department to start her family. After her children were in school, she returned to the workforce with Dr. Roger Bergeron’s, Optometrist practice, where she continued working until her retirement. For a number of years after retiring, Connie looked forward to meeting up with her former co-workers, who had become her close friends along with her cousins for lunches.

Sundays were a day for hosting family dinners at the Pelletier homestead where Connie would cook and bake all day, enjoying the company of her mother, special Aunt Cecile and Uncle Larry LaFrance amongst other guests. During the holidays Connie took great pride in baking and making several types of holiday candies.

Connie was especially proud of her family. Left to cherish her memory are her children and their spouses Patrick (Marie) Pelletier, Christine (Jeffrey) Plourde, and John Pelletier. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Ryan Purington; Owen and Sawyer Plourde. She is also survived by her sister, Jacqueline Chouinard, sister-in-law Jacqueline Morin Chouinard and brother-in-law Richard (Faye) Pelletier. She also had a special friendship with Tanya Faith Hamilton and her dog Jax who provided live-in at home care and companionship these last months.

In addition to her husband, Connie was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Gerald Chouinard; her in-laws Rosario and Stella Pelletier; and her granddaughter, Amanda Rines.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Andwell Healthcare and Hospice for the wonderful care they have given to Constance.
