Jacob T. Brown
SCARBOROUGH – Jacob T. Brown, 34, passed away on Sept. 13, 2025. Jake was born on Dec. 5, 1990, in Lewiston, son of Tait and Judi (Boulet) Brown.
Jake attended Lewiston High School and graduated in 2014 from Saint Joseph’s College. In 2020, he earned his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern Maine.
Jake devoted his life to athletics and academics. Most recently, he served his cherished Scarborough community as assistant principal at Scarborough High School. He had a gift for connecting with students, always keeping his office open as a place of support. From childhood, Jake was passionate about hockey and went on to receive numerous accolades, including all-state honors during high school.
In October 2022, Jake and Lauren married in one of their favorite places — a beautiful mountain property in Rangeley. Jake’s passion for life was strengthened by Lauren’s love and devotion, and together they dreamed of building a family surrounded by their many treasured friends, relatives, and neighbors.
Beyond his work and his love for hockey, Jake was an avid skier and golfer. He spent countless hours perfecting his game at The Purpoodock Club in Cape Elizabeth, where he formed lifelong friendships. Each year, he and his friends looked forward to their cherished golf trip to Ireland.
Jake will forever be remembered for his kindness, passion, and dedication to his students — both on and off the ice. The Brown family extends their deepest gratitude to all who have offered support, love, and compassion during this difficult time.
Jake was predeceased by his father. He is survived by his wife, Lauren (Bickmore) Brown; mother, Judi (Boulet) Brown; his sister, Mikaela, and her husband, Faisal Binsalma; his sister-in-law, Meghan, and her husband, Ben Henchel; Abby Snow; his mother-in-law, Carol Dadiotes; his nieces and nephews Kingston, Crue, Mia, and Quincy; his grandparents, Richard and Tina Boulet; and many beloved extended family members and friends. Above all, Jake is survived by his and Lauren’s pride and joy, their 5-year-old Goldendoodle, Rudy.
