Roopers Beverage and Redemption has sold its 1420 Lisbon St. location — leaving four Roopers outlets remaining — following last year’s sale of its 301 Main St. store in New Auburn to Lighthouse Discount Beverage.

The manager of Lighthouse Discount Beverage confirmed the purchase in a phone call Wednesday, telling The Buzz the sale was finalized on July 7.

Roopers owners did not respond to requests for comment or more information on the sale.

The Roopers company website lists four locations — Sabattus Street, Lewiston; Main Street, Oxford; Main Street, Lewiston; and Minot Avenue, Auburn.

Roopers owners have talked about opening a store in Winthrop for more than a year, which has not materialized. In a statement to the Sun Journal in December 2024, owner Stephanie St. Laurent said they were  “awaiting town approval.”

A post on the Roopers Facebook page Dec. 13, 2024, stated in part, “We’re thrilled to announce that we will be expanding into new areas in the near future. … As part of this journey, we’ve made the difficult decision to sell our Main Street Auburn location. This choice was not easy, but it allows us to focus on growth and better serve you at our other 5 locations in Lewiston/Auburn, Oxford and soon to be Winthrop!”
