Leslie H. “Les” Bell
RUMFORD – Leslie H. “Les” Bell, 75, of Rumford, formerly of Ohio, passed away Sept. 29, 2025, with his family by his side.
A proud U.S. Air Force veteran of 21 years, Les later worked at the Rumford paper mill until retirement.
He was a Scout leader, traveled nationwide for soapbox derby with his daughter, and enjoyed organizing cornhole and playing Beano at the American Legion in Greenwood, where he and his wife Patty spent summers camping.
Les was kind, quick with a joke, and deeply devoted to family.
He is survived by his wife Patty; children Chris (Raedeen), GJ (Jessica), Felicia (Lauren), and stepson Jamie (Missy); many grandchildren, including a grandson due in October: two great-grandchildren; and siblings Debbie and Becky.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Meader & Son Funeral Home, Rumford. Visitation 12 – 2 p.m. Burial at Veterans Cemetery 9 a.m. Friday Oct. 10, 2025
