Wayne Jeffrey Coffin

PORTLAND – Wayne Jeffrey Coffin, 65, passed away on Sept. 24, 2025, at Maine Medical Center in Portland surrounded by family. He was born in Norway, Maine, on August 11, 1960, to Robert Coffin and Natalie (Frechette) Coffin, grew up in West Paris, and graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1978.

Wayne worked as a truck driver in various industries and capacities over his career. He proudly earned his Class A license and graduated from Northeast Technical Institute in 2008. Most recently he was employed by Auburn Concrete.

He enjoyed being outside snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, landscaping his property, and playing with his beloved orange cat Ally. Wayne loved to collect rocks, watch James Bond movies, and listen to 70’ s rock music at top volume.

Wayne frequently checked in on friends and family and was known for his easy smile and sense of humor. You could often find him haying fields, delivering firewood, moving dirt, or just lending a helping hand where needed. Wayne’s big personality was appreciated by all who knew him. Recently, he was welcomed into Moss Brook Church in South Paris.

Wayne is survived by his siblings Roger Coffin (Holly), Laska Swan, Wendy Chase (Randy), Doug Coffin (Sandy), and Bill Coffin; his children Amey Lewin (Michael), Misty Coffin, and Devin Coffin; his granddaughter Cece Lewin; his cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and great-nieces.

He was predeceased by his parents, brother David Coffin, daughter Beth Currie, and his devoted partner Christine Diffin.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Oct. 11, 2025, 11 a.m., at Moss Brook Church, 496 High St, South Paris, Maine.
