A major addition to the Margaret Murphy Centers for Children is seen Tuesday morning behind Marden’s on Main Street in Lewiston. The organization provides educational and therapeutic clinical services to children with developmental delays, developmental disabilities such as autism spectrum disorder and emotional and behavioral disorders such as anxiety and ADHD. According to Director Michelle Hathaway, “The addition will allow us to close two smaller sites in Lewiston/Auburn so that we can better consolidate our educational and clinical services for students with a host of special learning and behavioral issues. In addition, it will allow us to expand our current services. We anticipate the new addition opening in the summer of 2026.” (Russ Dillingham/Staff Photographer)
