Michael I. Bouthot

MEXICO – Senior Chief Michael I. Bouthot, USN (Ret.), 72, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, at his home in Mexico, Maine.

Born in Rumford on Jan. 22, 1953, Michael was the son of Victor and Evangeline (Desroches) Bouthot. He was a proud graduate of Mexico High School and went on to serve his country with honor and distinction in the United States Navy, retiring as a Senior Chief in 1998.

Michael was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy (Demers) Bouthot. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Linda (Bouthot) Herd, Marie (Bouthot) Casey and Jamie Bouthot. He is survived by his son, Michael Dustin Bouthot and his wife Melissa (Wuelling) Bouthot of O’Fallon, Mo.; and by his cherished grandchildren, Avery, Lincoln, and Beau.
