Sandra (Frateschi) Belanger

AUBURN – Sandra Frateschi Belanger, 84, of Poland Spring, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Oct. 14, 2025.

Born on March 10, 1941, to Nelmo and Gertrude Frateschi. She was married to her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Richard Belanger, Sr. for 64 years.

She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1959 and remained an active reunion committee member to this day. Sandra owned Adam & Eve’s Hair Boutique with her sister, Lisa, in Lewiston for many years. Sandra, also known as “Noune”, collected recipes and loved cooking special family recipes for those she loved. She loved reminiscing about her family, capturing every moment both in presence and photography, including summers at Tripp Lake, visits to the Ocean, her time enjoying Florida winters, and always her children and grandchildren. Above all else, family was truly everything to her.

Sandra will be remembered and missed for being the most loving, compassionate, and giving person, as a wife, mother, grandmother “Naunie”, sister, aunt to her large family, and loyal friend to everyone she met. Her smile was contagious, along with her outgoing and fun personality, all of which lit up every room.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Richard Belanger Sr.; her children Richard (Debbie) Belanger Jr., Sherri (Ronald) Bourgoin; four grandchildren, Chase (Krissy) Bourgoin, Taylor (Mike) Auclair, Richard (Megan) Belanger III, Tanor Bourgoin, and Desirae LeBlanc; brother and sisters, Nila (Forrest) Stickney Sr., Edward (Dede) Frateschi, Lisa (Bill) Karson; sister-in-law, Liz Pucci; special godchild, Cristopher Karson; many cherished nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Mylo.

Predeceased by sister, Lola (Fred) Lawrence, brother, Nelmo “Woots” Frateschi Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Sadie Rae Belanger.

Sandra’s legacy of genuine love will be cherished by all who knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Sandra’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at The Fortin & Pinette Group 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023. Online condolences and sharing of memories may be expressed at http://www.fortinpinettegrouplewiston.com .
