Francoise A. Ford
AUBURN – Francoise A. Ford “Fran”, 94, of Auburn passed away on Oct. 18, 2025 at Clover Health Care with family by her side. She was born in Biddeford on April 7, 1931 the daughter of Pierre and Beatrice (Lavigne) LeClerc.
She graduated from St. Josephs’ High School in Biddeford. After graduating she worked in Cornish where she met her husband, Frank. They were married on June 11, 1955 in Hebron. They celebrated 68 years of marriage. During this time, they raised six children and their granddaughter Carrie. They resided on Spring Street in Mechanic Falls for 57 years.
After raising her family, she worked at Clover Health Care in the laundry department for many years.
She enjoyed Bingo, going to the casino when she could; scratch tickets; knitting and crocheting. What she loved most was her family and having them all gather for many celebrations and holidays.
She is survived by her six children, Peter (Carol) Ford, Sr., Patricia (Gary) Barnes, Russell Ford, Arlene Pierce (Ron), Brenda (Wayde) Boston, and Cynthia Ford (Bill); her grandchildren Carrie Ford, Jennifer Mundell, Christina Lavoie, Matthew Boston, Melissa Ford, Meghan Phillips, Peter Ford, Jr., Kacie-Rae Ford; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband; three sisters and one brother; also, her son-in-law, Bruce.
The family would like to thank Clare Place at Clover Health Care and the Andwell Hospice Staff for the compassionate care she received for the last years of her life. She will be missed and loved by all that knew her.
Visiting hours will be held on Oct. 29, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Home, 26 W. Dwinal St., Mechanic Falls. On Oct. 30, a funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 24 Sacred Heart Place, Auburn at 11 a.m. followed by a graveside burial at Riverside Cemetery, West Minot.
