AUBURN – Harley G. Briggs, of South Paris, passed away on Nov. 10, 2025 at the Andwell Hospice House in Auburn. He was 85 years old and the son of Gerald I. and Louise (Tucker) Briggs. He grew up in Buckfield and graduated from Buckfield High School.
He had an auto and farm equipment business, Pineland Sales and hauled wood with his pulp truck. He helped his father on the dairy farm doing the chores of milking the cows and haying the fields in the summer.
He enjoyed driving and going on road trips with his wife.
He is survived by his two daughters, Vivian Jean (Tom) Glover and Beverly Gilpatric; and one granddaughter, Kayleen Glover.
He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Laila; and his brother, Glendon.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov. 17 at 11 a.m. at Chandler Funeral Homes, 45 Main St., South Paris with interment to follow at Riverside Annex Cemetery in South Paris.
