Claire M. (Pelletier) Feeney
WESTBROOK – Claire M. (Pelletier) Feeney, 83, of Westbrook, passed away on Nov. 11, 2025, at Fallbrook Woods in Portland.
She was born to Albert and Annette Pelletier of Lewiston, the third child and oldest daughter of 10. Claire attended Saint Louis School and Walton in New Auburn and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1959. She enjoyed working with numbers and became a bank teller then a bookkeeper at various Lewiston Auburn businesses. Claire later went on to a long successful career and retirement with L.L.Bean.
Golf was her true passion, and she spent many happy hours at Riverside Golf Course as a member, as part of Riverside Woman’s Golf and with Southern Maine Women’s Golf Association. She also enjoyed extensive travel with Donald and volunteered for many years at Merrill Auditorium.
Claire is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Donald Feeney of Westbrook; her children Paul and Ann Berube of Australia, Daniel Berube of Florida, Suzanne and Jack Carney of Auburn, daughter-in-law, Debra Berube of Auburn, and stepson, Dennis and Antoinette Feeney of Raymond; her grandchildren, Alyse Carney, Emily Carney, Lacey Breton, Hannah Niles, Angela Fall, Brianna Berube, Alison Berube, Zachary Berube, Victoria Feeney; and five great-grandchildren.
Claire is also survived by a brother, Richard and Rose Pelletier of Lewiston, five sisters, Del and Tony Levesque of Lewiston, Claudette Spear of Lewiston, Connie and Steve Ludington of Pittsburgh, Pa., Jeannine Pelletier of Auburn, Michelle and Ed Connor of West Springfield, Mass., two sisters-in-law, Jeannette Pelletier of Lewiston and Jeannine Pelletier of Rhode Island. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews; and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Annette Pelletier, mother-in-law, Julia Feeney; brothers Raymond Pelletier, Roger Pelletier and Norman Pelletier; former spouse, Robert Berube; in-laws Catherine and John “Red” Martin, and John and Lorraine Feeney.
The family would like to extend their special thanks and appreciation to the staff at Fallbrook Woods and Compassus for their wonderful care and loving support.
Funeral services are being arranged by Dolby, Blais & Segee of Westbrook with a Funeral Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at St. Pius X Church, 492 Ocean Ave. in Portland.
