Daniel R. Custeau
ROCHESTER, Ill. – Daniel R. Custeau, 76, of Rochester, Ill., passed away peacefully on Nov. 8, 2025, at Illinois Veterans’ Home in Quincy, Ill. He was a Vietnam veteran.
Born on Feb. 27, 1949, in Lewiston, to Robert and Jeannette Custeau.
Daniel worked as an electronic technician at USPS. Before that, he had a business repairing scoreboards. He was a big fan of Boston Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins. He adores Abraham Lincoln and loves American Indian paintings.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Bebie; and son, Michael (Illinois); his two sisters, Joanne (Gary) Collins, Jacqueline (Jim) Dow; and several nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Daniel on Monday Nov. 17, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 217 Turner St., Auburn, ME 04210.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 8 Sacred Place, Auburn, on Tuesday, Nov 18, at 11 a.m., with Military Honors and Committal Prayers to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 217 Switzerland Rd., Lewiston, ME 04240.
