Diane E. Ciarochi

NEW BERN, N.C. – Diane E. Ciarochi, 83, of New Bern, N.C., passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Nov. 1, 2025.

Born in Yeadon, Pa., Diane was the daughter of the late Marion and Leroy Dempsey. She was the beloved wife of Steve Ciarochi.

Diane had a deep love for her family and community. She was cherished by her coworkers at Colonial Flea Market in New Bern, N.C. Her favorite pastimes included gardening, cooking, and especially talking recipes with her son. Her love for animals was shown through her dedication as a volunteer at the St Croix animal welfare center.

Diane was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Leyfert.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Ciarochi; and her two children, son David M. Burns (Linda Burns), daughter Denise Henderson (Thomas Henderson). She was a devoted grandmother to Kelly Trey, Sean Burns, Caitlin Luckenbill and Julia Henderson. She leaves behind seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her niece, Danielle Scott and nephew, Raoul Leyfert. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
