The movie “Nuremberg,” starring Russell Crowe, is now in theaters. It is a historical reflection of the trials following WWII. The Western Allies had defeated Nazi Germany and these trials were set up to determine what should happen to 22 senior Nazi officials following the war, in which they were responsible for the killing, in gas chambers and by other equally depraved means, for the purpose of exterminating Jews.

The Nazis killed millions; this is a fact that is only questioned by unstable heretics. These killings were extrajudicial, meaning they were legally unwarranted, and those killed had no due process. They were killed because of the maniacal vision of one man.

President Trump is now engaging in extrajudicial killings of people on boats in the Caribbean; no trial, no assumption of innocence until proven guilty, simply the word of one man.

The name Nuremberg Trials came from the city in Germany where much of the Nazi movement was formed. It makes me wonder whether the post-presidential trials of Donald J. Trump should be called the New York, Washington or Mar-a-Lago Trials.
