Prince Lyons
LIVERMORE – Prince Lyons, 72, of Livermore, Maine, passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025. He was born August 12, 1953, in Medway, the son of Fay and Florence (Clukey) Lyons.
Prince’s mother passed away when he was 3 years old. His Grandmother Erma Lyons then took him along with his father and five brothers into her home and so began a very special bond between Prince and his Grammie (Erma). They shared a special closeness throughout the years, with Prince caring for her at home until her passing in 2001 at the age of 101.
After graduating from High School Prince went to work at Great Northern Paper Mill in East Millinocket retiring in 2008 after 38 years. Prince later worked at Progressive Distributors in Winthrop, retiring from there in 2015.
On Dec. 24, 2003, Prince married Susan (Dube, Lake) in Livermore. In 2008 Prince and Sue moved to Gibbs Mill Road in Livermore, where they were blessed to have shared many special years together.
Prince was a gentle kindhearted man who found peace in the quiet moments of his life, whether he was enjoying birds at his feeding stations, tending to his cherished Irises, or simply enjoying the stillness of nature. He carried a calmness that touched everyone around him. Above all he treasured his family. Being a part of their lives brought him his greatest joy, and he showed his love through his steady presence, warm heart and unwavering kindness.
Prince was a member of North Livermore Baptist Church and served as a Deacon there for many years. When he became unable to attend church services due to declining health, he treasured the love and support that he continued to receive right in his home from his church family.
Prince is survived by his wife Sue and his beloved dog Annie; stepdaughters Angela Lake (Adam) of Livermore Falls, Amanda Hubbell (Chris) of Auburn; grandsons Rias, Coby and Connor Hubbell; two very special cousins, Linda Dunmore and Jeri Beatham and a special niece Hope Boyd (Glenn) all of Medway; sisters-in-law Bonney Lyons of East Millinocket, Gail Lyons of Bangor and Sherry Newdick (Gary) of Florida, brothers-in-law Wayne Dube (Mary) of Livermore Falls, and William Dube of Sangerville.
In addition to his parents and grandmother, he was predeceased by his five brothers Roy, Donald, Paul, Malcolm, and Pete Lyons and sister Jean Moore.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Gibbs Mill Cemetery, Fish Meadow Road, Livermore, Maine.
