State Sen. Rick Bennett is going to be Maine’s next governor. He will be elected because he is a smart, fair-minded person, whose common sense and common touch will convince voters to choose him over Republican and Democratic Party candidates.
Thousands of good people in Maine are enrolled as Republicans and Democrats. However, party insiders have steered platforms toward unrealistic ideologies to which candidates are then forced to pay homage. The results of this two-party “system” are being played out daily on a national stage. Is it working in Washington? Does it work in Maine?
The current state of political affairs is cause for deep concern. Given the times, Maine’s best move is to elect Rick Bennett — an independent candidate with years of legislative experience who has nonetheless seen through the two-party haze and remained true to himself and realistic views. Please join me in supporting Rick Bennett for governor.
