Shirley A. Carrier

GORHAM – Shirley A. Carrier passed away at Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough after a brief illness on Dec. 1, 2025. She was born in Fort Fairfield on August 9, 1936, and spent much of her youth in Fort Kent before moving to Lewiston.

She enjoyed her work at JC Penney and her personnel duties for more than 40 years where she made many lifelong friends.

She is survived by her husband Bernard of 67 years; her three children and their spouses, Donna and Jim Katsiaficas, David and Michelle Carrier and Susan and Steven Dobieski; and six grandchildren, Aaron and Seth Dobieski, Caitlin, Nathan and Jacob Katsiaficas, and Lucas Carrier.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at The Fortin and Pinette Group, 305 Alfred A Plourde Parkway Lewiston, Maine, on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025, from 9 to 11 a.m. with a in house service at 11 a.m., a liturgy of the word and committal prayers will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
