This year has been a grim one in the life of our nation. Every day it seems like there’s a new story of illegality, criminality and corruption from the Trump administration. Murder on the high seas, knocking down parts of the White House, suing to take away food from the poor. All that just in the last month.
We are desperately in need of a senator who, unlike Susan Collins, will hold this administration accountable. Janet Mills as attorney general and governor has time and time again brought the fight to President Trump. We’re lucky in Maine to have the chance to send the best person in the nation to restore Congress to a co-equal branch of government — not a rubber stamp.
Next year we have got to send an experienced fighter, a proven winner and someone ready on day one to Washington to be our voice, not Trump’s echo.
