Joey Jay Nickerson
OTISFIELD – Joey Jay Nickerson, 55, of Otisfield, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. Joey was born in Lewiston on March 24, 1970 to parents, Alan and Carol (Champagne) Nickerson.
Joey was not only a son, but a brother, a friend, and a confidant to many. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and camping with friends. Joey was well known for his passion to have fun and enjoy life. Every summer, he and his many friends would have a party at his house with tons of food, and tons of fireworks.
Joey worked for Poland Spring Bottling Company for over 20 years before having to retire early.
He is survived by his best friend and caretaker, Darlene Thomas of Otisfield; his father, Alan Nickerson Sr. of Leeds; brother, Alan Nickerson Jr. of Lewiston; sister, Becky Johnson of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother, Carol Champagne.
There will be a Celebration of Life to be announced next summer. Arrangements are under the care of Oxford Hills Funeral Services, 1037 Main St., Oxford.
