Kathleen M. “Kay” Langlin

AUBURN – Kathleen M. “Kay” Langlin, 78, of Turner, passed away peacefully, Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at Andwell Hospice House in Auburn, surrounded by her loving family, following a seven-year battle with myeloblastic leukemia.

She was born on Oct. 29, 1947, in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Antonio “Tony” Grondin and Mary (DeSoto) Grondin. Kay was a 1967 graduate of Jay High School. She married Charles “Jr.” Tidswell and they had one son, Cory.

She later married Anthony “Tony” Langlin on Oct. 24, 1986, and made their home in Turner. Kay worked for Hannaford Supermarket and then transferred to the pharmacy department as a pharmacy technician.

She and Tony spent many years camping at Powder Horn in Old Orchard, Happy Horseshoe in New Portland, and most recently, Augusta West. Kay was an avid quilter, enjoyed traveling with her friends and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Cory Tidswell and fiancée Shawna of Greene, stepdaughters, Amy Hinkley and husband Michael of Auburn, and Ellen Wood and husband Ian of Greene; grandsons Abel Tidswell and Jared Wood; in-laws Brenda Houle, Dennis Langlin and wife Eileen, Barbara “Renee” Lucas, Kathy Langlin, and Blaine Cram; several nieces, nephews; and many Grondin and DeSoto cousins; cherished friends Norma Constantine, Marilyn Morse, and Sherry Ames; and former husband, Charles Tidswell and wife Jeanne.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Tony; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William “Bill” and Kay Langlin; sister-in-law, Deborah Cram, brothers-in-law Kerry Marquis and Wesley Lucas; her aunts Claudia Chretien, Rose Lussier and Marilyn DeSoto, uncles Philip DeSoto, Armand, Andrew, Roland, and Bert Grondin.

The family would like to thank everyone that visited her over the past two days and heartfelt gratitude to the amazing staff of Andwell Hospice House.

A graveside service at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 980 Turner St., Auburn, will be announced at a later date. Arrangement by Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls.
