Thomas C. Ross

FARMINGTON – Thomas C. Ross, 76, of Farmington, passed away on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at Woodlands Senior Living in Farmington. Born on June 3, 1949, to Henry and Gladys (Tribou) Ross of Rumford, Tom was educated in local schools, graduating from Stephens High School in 1969. Tom was a proud veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1969-1973. Following his discharge from the Navy, Tom worked at several jobs, ultimately settling at Poland Spring Bottling in Poland, where he worked for many years until his retirement.

Tom loved “wheeling and dealing” – buying, selling and trading whatever caught his eye, and working around cars. He worked at L&A Tire and Ripley & Fletcher and took pride in cleaning and detailing anyone’s vehicle – you had only to ask.

Tom is survived by his son, Jonathan Ross and wife Laura, of Green Cove Springs, Fla., daughter, Tami and husband Roland Martel of Rumford; grandchildren, Rebecca and husband Marcus Couch of Rumford and Keena, of Augusta; sisters Retha and husband Gary Sinclair of Merrimack, N.H. and Alicia and husband Ed Yahn, of Auburn, and brother, John of Rumford.

He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Gladys; and brothers Richard of Rumford, and Henry of Floral, Ark.

Services will be held at Second Baptist Church in Waterville on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 11 a.m. A graveside burial will be held in the spring. The family would like to thank the staff at Woodlands Senior Living and Andwell Health Partners for their care.

Arrangements are under the care of Dan and Scott’s Cremation and Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, where memories, photos and condolences may be shared at dsfuneral.com.
