Teresa Petrie
LEWISTON – Teresa Petrie, 70, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026, at the Marshwood Center in Lewiston. She was formerly of Rumford.
She was born on March 8, 1955, the daughter of Edgar and Rose (Puiia) Reed. She graduated from Rumford High School and attended the University of Maine at Farmington.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Mark Petrie, children, Matthew Petrie and wife Shannon of Wells, Malinda McKinnon and husband William of Brunswick, and Michael Petrie of Sabattus. Grandchildren, Jade and Gavyn Petrie, Trenton and Tyler McKinnon, and Colton and Zayla Petrie. Her brothers, Frank Reed of Buckfield, Dan Reed and wife Laurie of Rumford; and extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Lura Reed.
Teresa worked in Special Education for many years and was a member of the Gorizia Lodge Sons of Italy and the Hope Association. She enjoyed bingo, knitting, hosting family gatherings at her home, and baking treats for those she loved.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, at the Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius–St. John Church, Rumford. Spring interment will be at St. John Cemetery.
