Anthony Bardaro broke a 2-2 tie early in the third period and the Orlando Solar Bears scored a pair of power-play goals Saturday night in a 4-3 ECHL victory over the Maine Mariners at Cross Insurance Arena.
Connor Kurth got the eventual winner on a power play at 14:12 of the third period. Maine’s Jacob Hudson made it 4-3 with 1:05 remaining, but the Mariners couldn’t complete the comeback.
Hudson finished with two goals. Brooklyn Kalmikov opened the scoring in the first period and assisted on both of Hudson’s goals.
Tyler Bird and Aaron Luchuk were the other goal scorers for Orlando, which got 30 saves from Colby Muise. Mariners goal Brad Arvanitis stopped 21 shots.
