Elizabeth “Betsy” Jordan

HEBRON – Elizabeth “Betsy” Jordan passed away surrounded by her loving family on Feb. 6, 2026. Betsy was born in Lewiston on June 2, 1949, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Edwards) Martin.

Betsy was raised in Hebron, one of 12 children. She married Michael Jordan on Nov. 5, 1966. They made their home in Hebron raising their three children, Elizabeth (Ann), Chad, and Justin. Betsy worked at General Electric in Auburn for many years until her retirement.

She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, scratch tickets, dancing, and playing cards, especially with her niece, Barbie Sanipass. She loved all animals and she loved babies.

Betsy cherished time spent with her family, enjoying many barbecues, holidays, and every day visits, bringing joy to her life. Added joy was brought to her life as she and Mike welcomed grandchildren, Mikey, Courtney, Chad Jr., Paige, and Dustin. Betsy was thrilled to have great-grandchildren, Johnny, Ryker, Jackson, Olivia, and Waylon. She loved spending time with them.

Betsy is survived by Michael, her devoted husband of 59 years; her daughter, Ann Tucci (Michael), sons, Chad Jordan (Jessica) and Justin Jordan (Tina); grandchildren, Michael Tucci, Courtney Jones (John), Chad Jordan (Samantha), Paige Jordan (Michael), and Dustin Jordan (Hailey); sisters, Sheryl Sanipass (Lennie), Luann Hall (Tony), and Janet Martin, brothers, Leavitt Martin (Debbie), Jerry Martin (Becky), and Earl Martin (Barbara), sisters-in-law, Rose and Janice Martin, Alma Jordan-Peer (Thomas), and brother-in-law, Mike Hall.

Betsy was predeceased by her parents; infant daughter, Lisa; sisters, Vicki Brown (William), Eugenia Hall, brothers, David, Ronnie, and Gary Martin (Carol), and brother-in-law, David Hall.

A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026 from 1 – 3 p.m. at the Buckfield Masonic Lodge, 5 High St., Buckfield.
