In the Jan. 30 article “Gov. Janet Mills backs bill to keep ICE out of schools, hospitals,” Sen. David Haggan, R-Hampden, objects to the use of the word “fascism” in the discussions, calling it “an extremely offensive term.”
“Fascism” describes an extremely offensive philosophy. It’s a shame Sen. Haggan didn’t object to the policies and behavior associated with that philosophy, rather than the all too accurate term used to describe them.
